About the Role:

We are looking for an eager creative intern that has a background in video or photo and an interest in planning and production for the ads you see every day on social media. You will learn all the steps it takes to manufacture top performing ads for various brands and products. You will develop a strategic mindset to help you brainstorm and execute “thumbstopping” footage. You will also assist on CTV and YoutTube productions. In addition, there will be opportunities to learn the basics of production design, art direction, wardrobe and prop styling. We work across a wide variety of industries and the position requires you to be able to think on your feet and adapt to each client’s needs.

Internship Position Details

Position Title: Video Production Intern (College Credit)

Internship Term: Summer 2023

Compensation: College credit [MUST be enrolled in college course]

Desired Fields of Study: Video, Film, Photography

Hours Desired: 15-20 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Assist with producing, coordinating, and shooting 1-2 video/photo content batches weekly for use in performance-driven Facebook and Instagram ads and beyond
• Log and organize footage & photos
• Help build shot lists, treatment boards, and mood boards
• Assist with sourcing and returning props and product for productions weekly
• Willingness to appear on camera is not required but a huge plus
• On set: operate camera when needed (DSLR, Mirrorless, iPhone), setting up lights and sets, other general assisting

Skills/Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in college course to take internship for credit
• Some technical knowledge of camera, sound, lighting, and grip equipment
• Basic knowledge of video editing software
• Must be able to work 2-3 days a week in San Diego (Old Town)
