We are looking for a Vice President, Program Management (Hybrid Capable)

The Vice President of Program Management leads and develops integrated organizational plans and guides the development, implementation and execution of defense programs at Insitu. The leader in this role leads our team of Program Managers and support staff to ensure execution against cost, schedule and technical targets are met while maintaining strong quality and safety in each program. The VP will also serve as a member of the Insitu Executive Leadership Team and be responsible for engagement with customers individually, with their teams and with their colleagues on the Leadership Team.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Leads through implementation of Program Management Best Practices
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers
  • Leads identification and implementation of Continuous Process Improvement initiatives
  • Ensure diverse and engaged workforce
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Responsible for collaboration and integration across organization boundaries
  • Hybrid capable, living within a commuting distance to Bingen / Hood River
  • Delivers on customer commitments and designs solutions to extend existing customers and capture future work
  • Responsible to manage against key performance indicators tracking program level progress in technical, cost, and schedule requirements
  • Develops program organizational, work structures, top level program and execution plans
  • Export compliance experience and knowledge
  • Develops and managers portfolio and business level RIO
  • Leads through influence and in a virtual environment
  • Knowledge of DoD and International Defense acquisition contracting practices
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports to meet business objectives
  • Ensures integrated schedules align to deliverables
  • Leads, develops and executes budget, staffing requirements and forecast for organization work statement
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate standards and requirements


Education:


  • Master’s degree in a related field (Engineering, MBA, or aviation related) highly desired
  • Bachelor's degree required


Requirements:


  • 15+ years of experience in strategic leadership with demonstrated experience in Program Management or Customer Support preferably in the Unmanned Aircraft industry. Operations, Product Management, and/or Program Management with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in managing Program Management as a senior executive
  • Visionary and agile business leader who demonstrates strong executive presence, influencing skills, and sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated Profit & Loss understanding and experience
  • Position requires 25% travel Domestic/International
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in Program Management for a medium or a large size organization with rapid pace of innovation and new product introduction in a related industry.
  • Experience leading large groups of cross functional personnel with complex operational objectives and strong ability to inspire and coach teams for success
  • Experience working in DoD environment and in highly competitive marketplace
  • Systematic problem solver who demonstrates the ability to leverage analytical insights to drive innovative solutions
  • Experience working in a global market
  • Experience leading and delivering in situations requiring complex problem solving


Desired:


  • Program Management leadership within the Unmanned Aircraft industry.
  • Project Management accreditation or relevant operations certifications / accreditations strongly preferred

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.


Compensation Range: 215,000.00 - 295,350.00
