The Vice President of Sales is responsible to drive new business development for the company.The VP of Sales is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships.The VP of Sales must approach the position with an entrepreneurial passion to grow the business in profitable fashion.
Tasks of the position:The following tasks do not claim to be complete, and the sequence did not represent any weighting of the activities involved:
- Lead and direct the Sales Managers to ensure growth in all channels in which the company is present or desires to be present
- Develop new business opportunities and potential customers at all stages of the sales cycle to include targeting, prospecting, proposing and selling
- Lead and direct the Sales Support team to ensure all existing customers are well supported and are continuing to grow their sales with the Company
- Prepare and present powerful and persuasive presentations that effectively demonstrate the value proposition of the Company
- Lead and direct the Sales Support team to ensure the successful onboarding of new customers
- Work closely with the Director of Product Development to identify new trends and opportunities in the market for new products or offerings
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline to continuously grow the business and generate sales
- Effectively manage complex negotiations and contracts to close new business opportunities
- Work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure that all sales opportunities are delivering the appropriate profitability to the Company
- Manage negotiations to develop a mutually beneficial scenario for the Company and the customer
- Work with the management team to develop long term strategic customer relationships
