Job Description
Position Summary


The Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for modeling the 3 Company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence, and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for managing a team of financial professional working to enhance the efficiency of the workflow within the team and between FP&A function and other functional departments within the Company.


Position Specific Responsibilities


  • Oversight of Medicare, Medicaid and state cost reporting.
  • Support bank covenant compliance.
  • Lead development of a robust annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes that accurately model and drive future performance.
  • Lead the financial presentations during the Monthly Operating Reviews for each service line and provide operational insights on how to improve each business line’s financial performance.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting group to ensure management reporting connectivity with monthly close process.
  • Drive the overall connection between Operations and Finance to help ensure key operational and strategic initiatives are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly operating reports, including reports to business unit leadership, management team and Board.
  • Develop and refine analytics to support regional and local management team business objectives.
  • Implement and manage financial reporting system.
  • Provide support to other functional area partners including HR and Legal on compensation related financial analysis.
  • Develop and refine analytics and financial metrics to drive profitable organic business growth.


Education And/or Experience


  • Early experience as an associate in a private equity or investment banking firm is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within multi-location healthcare services industry required.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
