Job Description

The FP&A Analyst will report to the Director of Strategic Finance and work within the Finance team with other Jr. and Sr. FP&A Analysts. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for completing consolidated financials, KPI, month end reporting, and analysis of business units. The Sr. Analyst will lead Jr. Analysts and assign tasks to them accordingly. Celero Commerce is a payment processing company, so having payment processing, or SaaS, revenue model knowledge is highly beneficial for this position.


Essential Functions:

  • Finance/FP&A’s NetSuite Expert
  • Analysis of financials including budget, forecast, and planning
  • Monthly financial review including related month-end close duties

-Works closely with business unit executives to review financial trends and KPIs

-Compile & analyze monthly departmental expenses vs budget

-Gross Margin Analysis

-Price-Volume-Mix (PVM) Analysis

-Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) & marketing spend analysis

-Customer Retention/Attrition/Churn Analysis

  • Budget Management & Analysis:

-Be the key “owner” of the Annual Budget & Rolling Budget (Construct, update, re-forecast, detailed budget)

-Assist with Lender (LBO) Modeling

-Payroll analysis & execution of companywide staffing plan

  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures including safety standards
  • Research financial issues and overall trend analysis on sales performance, and margin review
  • Additional ad-hoc analysis projects as assigned
  • Building What-If analyses as directed
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Establish financial process improvements and support best practice initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of raw data, with ability to build in checks
  • Experience building & updating monthly departmental budgets w/ various business unit executives
  • 3-5+ years of accounting or finance experience (Minimum of 3 years in FP&A, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Financial Analyst Experience)
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills to build presentations
  • Advanced Excel skills:
  • Experience building complex companywide budgets and maintaining rolling forecasts
  • NetSuite / SmartView / Hyperion experience
  • Experience building operating models, lender models, what-if analyses, churn/retention/customer analyses
  • Experience building a financial operating model from historicals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SaaS, payment processing, and FinTech industry knowledge
  • Power BI Experience
  • M&A Experience
  • Understands accounting system GL codes & accounting mapping system
  • CPA is helpful, but not necessary
  • Experience leading and mentoring Jr. Analysts

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting related field
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Finance, or Masters of Accounting (MAcc) preferred
