As the VP of Facilities and Security, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of facilities management and security across our global organization. This includes overseeing facilities operations, health and safety, and security at our HQ and satellite offices, managing capital projects and space planning, and developing and maintaining relationships with vendors. In addition, you will provide oversight and strategy for loss prevention efforts, set global standards for security, and manage regulatory compliance and risk management. You will be a collaborative leader across the organization and help educate the company about all things relating to Facilities and Security.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Create and oversee strategy for global security, all facilities, investigations, incident/crisis management, global travel risk management, executive protection, loss prevention, health & safety, regulatory compliance, training, business resiliency/continuity, and enterprise risk
  • Develop and adhere to budgets for operating expenses, capital investments, and special projects
  • Project management of all aspects of capital projects including facilities space planning, workstation redesign, floor plan reconfigurations, and all other construction related improvements across real estate portfolio
  • Oversee the strategy for facility repairs and preventative maintenance, providing direction to Facilities team and third-party maintenance providers in areas such as electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, fire protection systems, roofing, and general work order management
  • Support execution of sustainability objectives across the real estate portfolio
  • Support the COO, leadership team, and total company in the development, construction and transition to a new headquarters
  • Establish and oversee KPIs to ensure facilities and security performance meets company objectives
  • Manage global travel risk management and executive protection programs
  • Lead the vendor negotiation of service agreements and day-to-day monitoring of vendor performance, including utilities, janitorial, security system and monitoring, landscaping, supplies, fitness center equipment, food service, moving, and general facilities maintenance
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and secure work environment
  • Create, drive, and set global standards for all loss prevention policies and programs in our Retail stores
  • Partner cross-functionally, including with our People and Culture team, to ensure culture and workplace experience objectives are incorporated across all facilities, including supporting on-site events
  • Procure, develop, and lead security strategy for all Vuori facilities to include system installation, monitoring, reporting, emergency preparedness, and remote support
  • Lead the development and implementation of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of facilities and security programs, and provide regular reports to executive leadership
  • Build, develop, and lead best-in-class team that is responsible for front desk operations, security, loss prevention, facility maintenance, health and safety, food service, and mailroom operations
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of global health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with local government authorities for escalated permitting/zoning compliance issues as needed; ensure facilities are in compliance with local regulations
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite; ability to create meaningful presentations
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions, and to develop effective partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Unquestioned personal integrity and work ethic
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required, including ability to articulate complex issues and strategies into a clear and concise manner as well as giving informed and succinct presentations to senior leadership
  • Strong business acumen skills and the ability to deliver results in a highly dynamic environment
  • Ability to handle multiple competing projects with precision and accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of global loss prevention practices and facilities management, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to navigate and read architectural and construction drawings
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree required; professional certification (e.g., CFM) is preferred
  • Ability and willingness to be on-call after hours (nights and weekends) to respond to facilities emergencies
  • Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done; mentality that no job or task is below your scope of work
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing vendor contracts for facilities and security services
  • Positive, can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow-through
  • 15+ years of experience in facilities and/or security management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • High emotional intelligence with experience in negotiation, conflict resolution, and effective communication
