Job Description

Endeavor Agency (www.endeavorCRE.com) is a commercial real estate talent agency providing high touch recruitment services throughout California and major western US cities. Endeavor has engaged with a privately held, growing real estate development and investment company seeking for a Vice President of Entitlements to join their Reno, NV team.


This Vice President of Entitlements will join their Development team to help execute the strategic plan for the 4000+ Acre Logistics project they are working on as well as some additional smaller projects. This role will oversee land entitlement activities for this project and processes from due diligence to shovel ready for construction. The position supports the development function by providing entitlement project management, cost analysis, planning, and design assistance, and acts as the primary contact for staff and other departments on assigned projects throughout the initial planning, entitlement, and development phases. This role will be based in Reno, will report directly to the Senior Vice President and will work closely with a team of outside consultants including architects, engineers, and other development specialists to develop the multi-phased, best-in-class industrial project. This is a great opportunity to be challenged with an exciting project and to grow with a growing company. The ideal candidate would work well autonomously and have solid experience with industrial construction & development, especially ground up construction. This role will need to be based in Reno, NV.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or review easement, development, governmental and legal documents
  • Manage the land entitlement/forward planning of projects and land in the 4000+ acre Logistics project
  • The preparation of entitlement budgets and schedules, density yields, conceptual site plans, and other components necessary to help management make feasibility decisions
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Senior Vice President
  • Coordinate all consultant interaction and work directly with various approval agencies including City and County Planning/Engineering/Zoning Departments related to all entitlement processes and other issues that arise
  • Oversee consultant teams (architects, landscape architects, civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, environmental consultants) for specific projects to ensure timely progression of entitlement process
  • Attend all public hearings related to entitlement process
  • Review civil engineering and other estimates and work directly with in-house land development department and with engineers and municipalities in the design and processing of all civil plans

Requirements:

  • Industrial logistics industry experience preferred
  • Experience dealing with municipalities and other governmental agencies
  • Relevant leadership experience in commercial real estate development, specifically industrial
  • CAD knowledge and experience a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Land Entitlement / Forward Planning
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business, or Civil Engineering
