SUMMARY:

As a part of the Legal and Compliance, the Vice President, Compliance will be responsible for anticipating new and emerging risks to ensure Xactus’ health and resilience. They will use their expert judgement to solve challenges that impact the company and customers.

The Vice President, Compliance guides and assists management and staff in credentialing/compliance with rules, regulations, and internal policies. They will provide regulatory and compliance services, including compliance risk assessment, monitoring and testing, regulatory analysis of transactions and activities, formulation of regulatory and control policies, participation in new product development activities, staff training, maintenance of regulatory relationships and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and investigate potential rule breaches, escalating issues and coordinating corrective actions with other control functions as needed.
  • Provide Compliance input and review new business initiatives, assessing compliance and regulatory risks and proactively identifying potential issues related to the new products/services.
  • Assist on Regulatory exams/inquiries/sweeps.
  • Assess compliance risks and coordinate/execute compliance monitoring and testing.
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors and Compliance management.
  • Provide regulatory advice and support.
  • Deliver uniform Compliance guidance on a variety of topics/risks including sales practices and licensing & registration.
  • Provide Compliance training and participate in staff training activities.
  • Develop Compliance policies to address regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on regulatory and Compliance topics.
