  • Global Operations Leader overseeing 20 global facilities|Global Manufacturing Company in High Growth Mode
About Our Client
Our client for the Vice President of Global Operations is global manufacturing company that services customers in various markets including, but not limited to automotive, aerospace, appliances, electronics, consumer products, chemicals, packaging, and more.
The Vice President of Global Operations will be responsible for the overall performance of close to 20 manufacturing plants in the globally and will report to the Divisional Managing Director (President/CEO) and the executive leadership team.

  • Lead lean implementation and principles ensuring plants and regions are equipped with the tools, training, and resources for implementation.
  • Review monthly financial pack to determine progress and status in obtaining objectives and revise plans as necessary in accordance with current conditions to meet the overall objectives.
  • Establish and implement safety programs in line with company values and policies.
  • Responsible for day to day management of the business to achieve the budgeted operating profit and working capital targets driving performance through the Regional Ops Directors and Plant Managers.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for Plant Managers and Regional Operations Directors and ensure that all managers do the same for their employees at each location
  • Establish a work environment conducive to maintaining good employee morale.
  • Lead in conjunction with Regional Ops Directors analysis, budget, and planning for capital investments
  • Oversee global plant operations to ensure manufacturing/production efficiency, quality, safety, customer satisfaction and cost-effective management of resources and profitability for the global manufacturing organization.
  • Develop and implement a three-year plan in line with the company objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an
  • Ensure adequate resources (personnel, materials, equipment and training) are provided to meet the company objectives.
  • Drive standardization across plants and operations where appropriate
  • Lead manufacturing and operations integration of acquisitions as needed
  • Work with Regional Ops Directors and Plant Managers to executive and deliver strategic goals and operational excellence

The Successful Applicant
  • Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and identify key market trends, with strategic market development experience
  • Ability to lead, train, mentor, and implement be practices amongst reports
  • High sense of urgency and able to manage multi initiatives at a given time
  • Proven track record in cultural change management
  • Lean Enterprise certification and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Deep experience and knowledge of Lean principles (Kaizan, 5S, A3, value stream mapping, etc.)
  • High energy, teamwork, and passion for development team members
  • 20 plus years of experience in an engineering, operations, and manufacturing
  • 7 years of sr. leadership experience in operations and plant management with responsibility over multiple locations globally
  • Quality experience a strong plus
  • Must have experience working with a global company with global manufacturing responsibility
  • Ability to travel globally 50-60%
What's on Offer
Competitive base salary $225,000 - $275,000 depending on experience, bonus, equity based on performance and board approval, full 3rd party relocation package available if needed, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays. Being a part of a growing and innovative company.
