Job Description
Lindsey & Wills Animal Hospital in Douglas, Georgia began life in 1972 as Lindsey Animal Hospital. In 1995, Roy Lindsey, DVM and Mike Wills DVM formed a partnership to establish Lindsey & Wills Animal Hospital, P.C. With Walmart Distribution Center as our front door neighbor on West Baker Highway and the local Department of Labor office in Park West Industrial Park as our west side neighbor, we have seen our surroundings change considerably over the years.

Today, Lindsey & Wills Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We provide an assortment of diagnostic capabilities through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with several referral centers in Georgia and Florida when additional special diagnostic treatment procedures are required. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with an outdoor walking area.

We are seeking a dynamic Practice Manager to join our hospital team!
About the Position:
In partnership with the Lead Veterinarian, the Practice Manager plays an integral role in leading the hospital team and providing excellent customer service to our patients. The practice manager is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations and serves as a liaison between the hospital team and our corporate support functions, including: marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting, finance, etc. This is a full-time position reporting to the Regional Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • People Management: recruiting, developing, disciplining, and terminating paraprofessional staff, including annual performance reviews
  • Customer Service: resolving client issues and escalations and overseeing follow-up communications
  • Financial Management: overseeing the hospital’s P&L, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory

Qualifications

  • Veterinary practice management experience preferred, although we will also consider strong candidates from other service industries (i.e. human healthcare, retail, restaurant, hospitality).
  • A positive, can-do attitude; strong people skills/emotional intelligence; willingness to roll up your sleeves and chip in to help the team
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
