Vessel Operator Jobs

Job Summary
Working for one of America's leading shipping companies, this position will work closely with the Commercial Team on post-fixture work, voyage calculation, demurrage calculation, bunker control and management, and communication with Vessel Masters and agents to ensure that documentation is completed correctly and complies with regulations for this fleet of Multipurpose Heavy Lift vessels.
Responsibilities

• Coordinate supercargo attendance/assignments at both load and discharge ports to maintain vessel voyages on schedule and budget
• Plan and manage voyages to optimize routes, weather routing, cargo stowage, bunker planning, and port agents, as well as process and ensure compliance with Charter Party requirements while providing contract directions to experts and screen consistence
• Organize records and files, negotiate claims, analyze the performance of the vessel's voyage, and take a proactive approach to resolving issues
• Manage letters of indemnity, cargo certification, and condition surveys, as well as assist in gathering documents prior to loading cargo in accordance with US rules and regulations
• Organize invoicing and funding for trip costs, and assist Technical, Vessel, and Gear groups to ensure appropriate load/discharge gear is aboard the vessel
• Responsible for the fleet's day-to-day operations and able to maximize profits by effectively and efficiently managing assigned voyages and any time chartered vessels' entire operations.
• Provide assistance to the Commercial group with voyage planning, vessel information requirements, questionnaires, certification, and scheduling
• Track and trace cargo moves for domestic and international line hauls

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years with Maritime Operations
• Able to analyze, find creative solutions, meet deadlines, display great organizational and communication skills
