Position Overview
As a Production Operator you'll report to the Production Supervisor. You will operate machinery and handle materials used in the production of high-quality roofing shingles. Additionally, you will ensure machinery is operating correctly and work to troubleshoot and resolve errors or back ups to ensure continuous production. You will also assist in quality control checks to ensure all production meets the required standards of the company.

• Flexibility is a must! The ability to work on weekends when required and work on a rotating shift (days, swing, and graveyard)

What You Will Be Doing

• Enter waste, downtime data into system.
• Inspect raw material and finish products per quality specifications
• Conduct quality checks at regular intervals
• General housekeeping duties
• Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures
• Additional duties as assigned
• Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery on the production line to manufacture roofing and shingle products
• Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift

What You Will Need

• Comfortable with standing and lifting up to 50 lbs on the job
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• STRONG TENURE in previous positions, no job hopping
• The ability to work in a team setting and can work under pressure
• Ability to follow direction and specific instructions - attention to detail is key
• The ability to work in dusty, hot, and cold environments
• 1 year of experience operating a forklift

Shift

• 4 weeks on a night shift, 4 weeks on a swing shift, and 4 weeks on a day shift
• Overtime may be required on weekends!
