Role Overview
Fisker is looking for a high performing Vehicle Processing & Operations Manager, to join our growing team. This position will be based at our Huntington Beach, CA Vehicle Processing Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the facility management, direction, and coordination of all operations in order to optimize throughput, sales, cost controls and other operational and administrative goals and objectives. The VPO Manager will also formulate and recommend policies and programs which guide the organization in improving profitability and overall facility operations.
The VPO Manager will also oversee in-gate and out-gate logistics operations to ensure quality standards are met by 3rd party vendors. Responsible for scheduling, hiring, training, and coordinating with other onsite managers to ensure vehicle processing timelines and objectives are achieved so customer delivery flow is uninterrupted. The ideal candidate will have the technical acumen to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external teams, excellent time management abilities and is able to effectively lead change and inspire teams. Works with other managers to ensure a safe working environment. Ensures all Federal, State, and local safety requirements are adhered to.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit and develop team while also ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner.
  • Oversee expense control, including staffing, supplies, and services.
  • Where applicable, manages printing and storage of DMV documentation in support of Fisker Vehicle Admin Coordinators and the Title & Registration department.
  • Works with senior leadership on creation of new processes and documentation as targets and volume scale with growth of the business.
  • Responsible to achieve processing and delivery targets, along with P&L requirements for location.
  • Resolve all people and safety issues in a timely and effective manner, collaborating with Human Resources and appropriate teams swiftly.
  • Is responsible for developing and implementing countermeasures for problems and edge cases. Provides applicable data to support resource request and collaborates with key stakeholders to approve applicable countermeasures.
  • Work with vendors to develop and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Lead the Vehicle Processing Operations team consisting of at least 5 direct reports.
  • Effectively plans by using reporting and forecasting to set and adjust team schedules and pivot resources as needed to meet operations and throughput demand.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, particularly the Service Department to enhance operations and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for setting individual and team targets while also actively training, coaching, and developing the team.
  • Responsible for applying Vehicle Operations’ standard operating procedures to their location with tailored adjustments based on location specific scope and criteria.
  • Responsible for compliance and adherence to Fisker’s, State and Federal requirements from HR and EH&S.
  • Motivate and inspire Assistant Managers and Associates under their direction and departments to deliver high quality results.
  • Ensures high standards in process execution is met by performing daily lot walks, observations, and feedback.
  • Maintain constant focus on improving the Fisker delivery experience.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and follow up of vehicle prep operational tasks and projects including, but not limited to vehicle movement coordination within the facilities lots and delivery bays, delivery schedule monitoring, vehicle repairs, detailer performance, lot organization and maintenance, and vehicle admin coordinator support.
Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
  • Able to effectively work with numerous departments and working styles.
  • Where required, ability to obtain local sales licenses.
  • Experience Managing Direct reports.
  • Ability to work evening hours, weekends and holidays regularly initially. The Company expects that this need will reduce with time.
  • Able to problem solve, prioritize multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines.
  • Results and success-oriented mentality, conveying a sense of urgency and driving issues and projects to closure.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Practice with Lean Principles preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience within Processing or Operations, preferably at an automotive OEM; at least 4 years at the Manager level
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
  • Prior experience with EV, Auto Ecommerce, Supply Chain, or Process Improvement preferred.

Expected Salary Range: $56,140.00 - $156,390.00 a year.
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
