Utility Porter The Strat (Las Vegas, NV) Description
Summary: Cleans and services assigned area according to standards of cleanliness set by management to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our guests. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and Stratosphere policies and procedures.
Essential Functions

• Cleans, stores and maintains equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the training received from the department supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Scrubs, polishes, disinfects and wipes items, including trashcans, sinks, toilets, urinals, furniture and fixtures
• Regularly cleans items (such as signs, vents and windows) at heights ranging from ground level to 25 feet using a ladder or high lift
• Handles and disposes of biohazardous materials in accordance with OSHA training provided by the company

Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:

• Six months of public area cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Excellent guest service skills
• Knowledge of carpet cleaning equipment, high speed buffers, power wash equipment and marble polishing preferred
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
• Must be able to tolerate a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to cigarette smoke and loud noise
• Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company
• Regularly walk, stand or stoop
• Ability to communicate via radios and pagers
• Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
