Job Description
EVS Utility Porter Arizona Charlie’s Boulder (Las Vegas, NV) Description:


Summary: Cleans and services assigned area according to standards of cleanliness set by management to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our guests. Includes being responsible for, but not limited to, the cleaning and care of floors (including carpets and tile) high dust, edging scrubbing hotel desks. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations, and sanitation practices involving bio-clean up, and company policy and procedures.


Essential Functions


  • Regularly cleans items (such as signs, ceiling vents, fans, walls, elevators, escalators, TV’s, light fixtures, windows, etc.) at heights ranging from ground level to 25 feet using a ladder or high lift
  • Responsible for filling chemical bottles and preparing equipment as needed.
  • Handles and disposes of biohazardous materials in accordance with OSHA training provided by the company
  • Cleans, stores and maintains equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the training received from the department supervisor
  • Scrubs, polishes, disinfects and wipes items, including trashcans, concrete, carpet, furniture and fixtures
  • Use heavy commercial/industrial equipment to clean floors, decks, carpets, sidewalks and parking areas.
  • Maintains and handles all equipment in a safe and responsible manner and reports any malfunctions or damage to equipment immediately to supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Use chemicals, cleansers and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company and read Material Safety Data Sheets written in the English language.
  • Occasionally required to assist with the lifting and moving of heavy items including but not limited to furniture, boxes and other heavy or bulky items.


Requirements


Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Knowledge of carpet cleaning equipment, high speed buffers, power wash equipment and marble polishing
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and verbal
  • Three to six months minimum related experience and / or training in public area cleaning
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Need to distinguish between shades of color. Work may require the use of close, distance, color and peripheral vision. It may also require depth perception as well as the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to communicate via radios and pagers
  • Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company
  • Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
  • Regularly exposed to the different elements i.e. wind, rain, sunlight etc…
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking, bending, and crouching (more than 75% of the time).
  • Moderately exposed to cigarette smoke.
  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
  • Noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
  • Ability to work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
  • Must be able to tolerate a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to cigarette smoke and loud noise
  • Walk, stand, and/or crouch on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
