Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Utility Electrician.


The Electrician reports to the potable Wells Utility Supervisors. The primary function of this position is to provide technical expertise to the potable water production facilities and remote ground water Well Distribution system. Ensures all electrical and operational systems are in working order. Could be called upon to assist other Gilbert departments as needed.


Essential Duties And Job Responsibilities


  • Generate Lucity work orders for electrical and I & C systems.
  • Prepare monthly reports.
  • Meet with Engineering team to assist with development, design, construction and commission of department systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot all electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Monitoring, maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Work on various projects involving electrical systems.

Requirements


In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements

  • 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school in electrical systems integration and system control wiring
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in electrical construction and general electrical service
  • ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution or Water Treatment Certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
  • 2 years of experience in electrical control wiring
  • 4 years Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent


Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.


Knowledge Of


  • The operation of a variety of electrical testing equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.


Skill In


  • Written and verbal communication systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in computer use and a variety of window's driven software.


Some positions must meet the physical standards and requirements for the wearing of an Air Purifying Respirator (APR) and a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) respiratory protection equipment. Must be able to qualify to use protective respirator equipment based on passing a specialized physical examination by hire or promotion date and maintain respirator certification.


This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.
