Job Description
Job Summary:
Reporting the Facilities Manager performs duties for the plant maintenance department that include but are not limited to repairing, maintaining and installing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment in medical center facilities. Calibrates and repairs automated building systems by physically aligning setting within design parameters. Programs automated building systems through software applications. Organizes all building blueprints, operational manuals, preventive maintenance documents, tool and equipment inventories, tracking of supplies and materials required to operate and maintain buildings.
Essential Competencies/Performance Expectations:
  • Available to the Director of Facilities for emergency situations.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of spare parts for mechanical equipment.
  • Responsible for understanding and participating in the Performance Improvement Program.
  • Report daily to the Director of Facilities for work instructions.
  • Responsible for scheduling maintenance and repairs of HVAC equipment.
  • Responsible for P.M. on mechanical equipment.
  • Maintains professional growth through education in-services and seminars.
  • Responsible for working knowledge of systems interlinked with HVAC systems.
  • Must be able to perform all maintenance tasks assigned, with minimum use of ladders, and lifting capability of 50LBS.
  • Applies cost effective measures in utilization of time and supplies.
  • Coordinate and instruct in-service training in HVAC with maintenance staff.
  • Perform assigned tasks with a constant concern for safety.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years HVAC experience.
Education:
  • Must possess knowledge of boilers and auxiliary boiler room equipment; heating, lighting, ventilating, air conditioning, power, refrigeration, building electric and pneumatic controls, water treatment and other mechanical or electrical equipment; the methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance and repair of such equipment.
Licensure/Certification:
  • EPA Universal 608 Certification.

Pay Transparency
The hourly rate range for this position is $30.30 - $39.77.
