Purpose
People, Technology and Processes, LLC is seeking contractors to provide services in the areas of software applications development and maintenance support, SharePoint development and maintenance, database development, maintenance and management, application end user support, information delivery solutions and support, desktop, mobile device support for development activities, security certification support, configuration management and documentation support.

Responsibilities
  • Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.
  • Provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
  • Advises users on access to various enterprise databases.
  • Prepares detailed reports which might include system requirements such as concurrent usage factors, data storage requirements, response rates, and discuss procedures for processing data using data base management systems (DBMS) including relational data bases.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
  • Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, database support of web applications.
  • Performs database programming and supports systems design.
  • Designs, creates, and maintains enterprise databases.
  • Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a enterprise environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
  • Able to communicate with management, technicians, and end-users to evaluate need prior to development of an automated solution.
  • Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
  • Evaluates database design tradeoffs, impacts on user expectations, performance levels, and space allocation requirements.

Required Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent Expert-level work experience as an Enterprise Architect.

Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to work in High pressure environment REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience on Oracle Exadata-x6 or higher, Oracle RAC production DBA activities at Sr level Installs configures and administers database management clustered systems utilities and tools.
  • Good knowledge of Database security issues and ability to design and implement security measures and work with external auditors to resolve database and server level non-compliance issues
  • Proven ability to develop, present and justify positions to all levels within the company
  • Experience troubleshooting, identifying and tuning performance issues Extensive experience with Database troubleshooting to identify root cause Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required Proven ability to work business requirements into solutions that map to technology capabilities and integration with existing infrastructure Proven track record of implementing significant IT infrastructure projects on schedule and budget In depth understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles in managing operational service delivery Demonstrate ability and experience in working with vendors and service providers
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the ITIL process ABC'S COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY, EQUALITY, BELONGING AND INCLUSION
  • Experience in disaster recovery solutions and testing
  • Experience managing Oracle 18c/19c on Exadata Experience with supporting at least one of these DB technologies ( SQL Server 2016 or higher/MariaDB or DB2-iSeries) Experience with managing a Data Warehouse on Exadata Experience with Oracle Golden Gate Experience providing audit reporting for Oracle Databases in scope for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Experience with Database access management (DAM) products Experience with Database recovery and backup image copies Database performance tuning, and capacity planning experience Ability to automate mundane Database tasks Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NFS, TCP/IP networking services
  • Extensive experience with Database Administration Experience with managing Oracle Exadata environments Experience with Oracle database products such as Real Application Clusters (RAC), Active Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Other than Oracle Exadata, experienced in one of these DBMS technologies; SQL Server, DB2 iSeries or MariaDB
  • Experience with SQL Server/MariaDB/MySQL
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills
