Job Description
LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a 150-acre interactive theme park dedicated to families with children between the ages of 2 and 12. With more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions, and uniquely themed LEGOLAND Water Park, LEGOLAND Hotel, and LEGOLAND Beach Retreat inspired by the LEGO and DUPLO brands, LEGOLAND is geared towards family fun.

What you’ll be doing
The Usher role is responsible for helping LEGOLAND Florida Resort Guests find their seats, disseminate information about the show and the resort, distribute special effects glasses as necessary, and participate with the show to encourage audience participation. The role has high visibility within the venues, functioning as a greeter, support for the show, and assisting Guests as necessary. Reports to the team leaders and area leaders in the day-to-day operations of the venue and in maintaining the high standards of the resort / guest experience.

Compensation for this opportunity is $12.00 an hour.

About You
Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, and strong problem-solving skills. Dedicated to providing outstanding Guest service. Requires the ability to remain calm under pressure. Must have full/flexible availability.

As an Usher you must also:
  • Ensures the venues are clean, safe, and ready to accommodate guests by completing the opening and closing checklists.

  • Answers questions about shows, other events in the resort, and locations of key resort areas such as restrooms and concessions.
  • Greets every guest as they enter the venue and provide information about the show.
  • Cleans venues thoroughly after every show.
  • Handles guest complaints, involving a supervisor if needed.
  • Provides assistance to any guest with special needs.
  • Enters guest counts hourly.
  • Assists guests with company protocols and procedures.
Physical Demands:
  • Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the resort site, interact with employees, and interact with and assist guests.
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.

  • Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
  • Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials and to complete paperwork activities

Work Environment:
  • Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.
  • Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
