Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Services & Systems division is currently seeking a User Experience Designer. The User Experience Designer performs custom configuration of Foreseer, BrightLayer and other Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems per customer specifications, includes web based graphical user interface design and implementation.


The expected annual salary range for this role is $58,500- $85,800 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Configures large enterprise wide, multi-site Foreseer, BrightLayer and HMI software and web based graphical interface based on custom style guides.
  • Designs graphical elements for dynamic electrical onelines and bus animation.
  • Performs QC of work per quality control checklist.
  • Prepares necessary floorplan and electrical oneline images from autocad, visio, or pdf drawing packages for use in Foreseer, BrightLayer and other HMI systems.
  • Presents Webviews editing training to both internal and external customers.
  • Reviews electrical diagrams and factory drawing packages.
  • Designs Webviews summary panels and equipment templates for Foreseer, BrightLayer and HMI systems.
  • Deploy's Power Monitoring HMI applications.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Relocation assistance is not provided, only candidates within a 50-mile radius of listed location(s) will be considered.
  • Associate’s degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with Photoshop, illustrator, Flash, HTML, creative suite, photo manipulation, and web based graphical layout design program
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Windows Operating Systems and common databases such as Access and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adobe Suite Experience
  • An Associate's degree in Information Systems or Electrical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of Power Management software
  • 1 year of experience working within an engineering service or information systems service environment
  • CSS Experience
  • Power Monitoring Systems integration experience

Skills:

  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are paramount.
  • The candidate must have the ability to decipher engineering drawings.
  • The candidate must possess excellent communications skills and must have the ability to interface with internal and external customers, salespeople, and other team members on a technical level.
  • Proficient use of a web based graphics editing program and the entire Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • Adobe Illustrator Experience
  • Strong computer skills are required including intermediate to advanced skills with all Windows Operating Systems and common databases such as SQL.
