We are searching for a UX Design Systems Designer for our footwear and sportswear client. The ideal candidate is obsessed with pixel-perfection and has a deep understanding of scalable, component-based atomic design solutions and UX best practices. This is a critical role that will take designs and equip our team and partners with a toolkit that enables productivity at scale with speed, confidence, and precision.

As a UX Designer, you will:

• Build and grow a system that enables a cohesive digital experience while elevating our client’s brand
• Establish necessary frameworks, documentation, workflows and toolkits to activate, maintain and evangelize the importance of system design on behalf of our users and the team
• Autonomously define and plan milestones to drive efficiency and productivity across teams
• Help steward our commitment to accessibility
• Collaborate with brand partners to create compliant and consistent color, iconography, typography elements and guidelines consistent with global Under Armour brand standards
• Work closely with design, engineering and product partners to deliver end-to-end scaleable, responsive and cross-platform components and guidelines
• Audit existing design libraries and combine/reinvent with a strategic and scalable approach
• Identify opportunities across our existing digital ecosystems to reduce UX & UI redundancy
• Establish naming conventions and organizational frameworks for all levels of atomic design
• Provide guidance and training across the organization to support the UX Design Team
• Combine fragmented and sometimes disparate design elements into a shared component ecosystem
• Compile and present to peers, partners and stakeholders in a clear and actionable way

Who we’re searching for / About you:

• Strategic design thinking, processes and design system related work experience that influenced business outcomes
• Detail-oriented and data-driven
• Deep understanding of WCAG standards and inclusive design practices
• Expert proficiency in industry standard design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, Zeplin)
• Deep knowledge of native HIG and Material design standards
• Experience designing for and working with CMS software (e.g. CloudCMS, Contentful, AEM, Storybook)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience articulating design strategy
• Experience partnering with cross-functional disciplines to achieve a common goal
• A beautiful portfolio that demonstrates experience templatizing and codifying accessible, pixel-perfect, cross-platform designs at scale
• Continually strive to exceed expectations
• Must have extensive understanding and hands-on experience with atomic design best practices
• Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
• Autonomous self-starter
• Experience designing components for Desktop, Mobile Web and Native App environments
• Passion for sports and fitness is a bonus!
• Fluency in a variety design crafts (UX, UI, Design Systems, Prototyping)
• Respond professionally to feedback
• Passionate about user-centered design

Education/Experience:

• 4+ years of UX design experience

Other Requirements:

• Deep understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
• Program Experience: Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, Zeplin)

Logistics:

• Location: Remote - qualified candidates must reside in Oregon, Washington, California, Texas, or North Carolina
• Sick time
• $50-$53/ hour W-2
