Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Drives Asset Protection (AP) and Safety and Compliance results across the facilities by evaluating programs and collaborating with other business partners and leaders to adapt them to club and market specific needs; soliciting and applying new ways of working, plans and practices for improving effectiveness, efficiency and member value; synthesizing multiple data sources, analyzing trends and metrics for root cause; determining appropriate actions to maximize sales and optimize member experience; communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures (for example, workplace safety, fire protection, powered lifting equipment) through communication, training, recognition and accountability; conducting strategic and risk-based club tours and assessments to ensure AP and Safety and Compliance metrics, programs, and measures are in place and executed.
Minimizes financial risk by executing and managing risk mitigation programs, financial forecasts, and budget; evaluating financial reports; troubleshooting exception reports and accounts; directing corrective measures to minimize loss; monitoring profit and loss (for example, inventory shrink, total variance, accident cost, cash accounts, security services); collaborating with corporate teams (for example, Merchandising, Finance) to analyze, evaluate and review exceptions; executing claims administration; developing plans to minimize loss and contribute to the profit plan; conducting investigations on financial losses and unethical behavior in facilities.
Meets expected facility and territory level total variance plan by managing corporate total variance strategies and initiatives; monitoring and evaluating the inventory flow process and collaborating with various stakeholders in order to develop recommendations for improvements; analyzing data to determine trends in order to identify emerging internal and external risks and prioritize mitigation efforts; conducting and/or ensuring implementation of overall club training (for example, total variances processes, controllable versus influence shrink/damages differentiation); evaluating effectiveness of risk management controls to ensure sales are maximized and member experience is optimal; and managing criminal deterrence and investigation initiatives associated with shrink.
Promotes and supports initiatives focused towards enhancing member experience while balancing risk protection by guiding club management and associates through test or pilot initiatives and policy changes; observing members and reviewing member feedback; assessing risk associated with initiatives; evaluating clubs to gauge member experience solutions and determine the level of asset protection support needed; and recommending convenience solutions throughout the club (for example, returns, shopping, checkout, product availability) that will drive member satisfaction.
Achieves company and market level Compliance goals by implementing strategies that align the business units to drive positive results; analyzing root cause of compliance trends, best practices and results; partnering with market and club level leadership to drive optimal compliance results; interacting with regulatory agencies (for example, Environmental, Food Safety, Financial, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, Weights and Measures, Health & Wellness, Privacy / Record Retention and OSHA); driving recognition and accountability for performance and overseeing the training and development of the Asset Protection and club management staff in areas of compliance.
Develops and manages investigations (for example, fraud, compliance, theft, ethics, safety, drug allegations, workplace violence, threat assessment analysis) in assigned territory by completing Manual of Investigative Operations and Guidelines training for conducting investigations; conducting financial analysis; conducting internal and external reporting; completing interviews; participating in organized retail crime investigations; creating final investigative reports; presenting investigative findings to leadership with recommendations as it relates to policy infractions or criminal activity; filing criminal charges with local, state, and federal authorities; and testifying in court.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Management or related field and 2 years' experience managing cross-functional programs or salaried associates, with proven experience in end-customer focused solutions and business/financial acumen OR 4 years' experience managing cross-functional programs or salaried associates.
