In this key communications role, you’ll be responsible for providing direction, oversight and coordination of complex projects within the office of US Strategy & Operations to support the Head of USTMO, and, in partnership with the Head Strategy & Operations. Responsible for driving strategy and execution of internal communications, operational excellence, and cross-functional projects, as applicable to support the USTMO vision. You’ll establish omni-channel forums for communication and integration of strategy across USTMO to position USTOM as a place where associates want to come to work and as a partner of choice both within and outside of the organization.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Project management
  • Lead and/or coordinate the executive information exchange strategy for the Head of USTMO in collaboration with the SSO and GCO communication function, as required, which may include activities such as:
a. Development of internal and external communications strategies including forums such as Yammer, social media, and other channels as applicable
b. Development of strategy for USTMO-wide updates and communications related to cross-functional newsletters, website updates, etc.
c. Acting as a strategic partner for USTMO special projects/initiatives groups to offer expertise/insight on communication strategy, development, and execution.
d. Creation of all internal communications for the Head of USTMO and for other functional leaders within USTMO, as needed.
e. Development of communication cascade plans in support of senior management announcements and organizational updates.
  • Facilitate the cascade of USTMO priorities & objectives and summarize USTMO achievements for various meetings.
  • Lead specific USTMO-related external presentations/update activities and engagement plan.
  • Organization and management of the SSO Leadership Team meetings including organizing meetings, managing agendas, tracking decisions, follow-up, and communications to internal and external customers.
  • Own USTMO town halls and USTMO webcasts. Coordinate and prepare for USTMO special events and presentations, including leadership summits and other team building meetings.

Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Organizational awareness, including experience working cross-functionally and in global teams
  • Ability to navigate complexity, maintain confidentiality and integration with senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in large scale change management activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences required; Advanced degree in scientific, communications or business preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in pharmaceutical development, preferably in clinical research, and/or monitoring clinical trials
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation/development and large, cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated matrix management skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent communicator and presenter (oral and written), ability to communicate effectively to Sr. Leaders
  • Good strategic thinking skills

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000 - $216,000/ year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
