Job Title: Unix Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA 30305

Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

· Provide comprehensive UNIX production support to our premier web site and mobile apps.

· Develop, test, and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)

· Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems.

· Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases.

· Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions.

· Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns.

· Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands.

· Participate in the 24x7 support coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

· Red Hat Linux and / or IBM AIX deep expertise in production support

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline

· Experience in the development of automated tools, systems, and services in multiple technology domains

· Advanced knowledge of one or more infrastructure components (e.g., UNIX, networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerization, compute, and storage systems)

· 5+years of Experience

· Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components.

· Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages

· Understanding or having experience with agile and lean philosophies.

Pay Range: $45 - $48 W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
