Ten Four Truck Insurance is seeking a Property & Casualty Production Underwriter in the Omaha area to join our team! Our product is highly competitive both from a pricing and coverage standpoint in the commercial trucking space. The Underwriter owns the relationship between potential customers, internal sales and Ten Four Truck Insurance to provide commercial trucking insurance coverages (Liability, Cargo and Physical Damage).

Job Duties:

• Utilize underwriting software to manage customer and underwriting information and maintain adequate supporting documentation.
• Have an analytical mindset with the ability to “read between the lines” when reviewing a dataset and make sound decisions with supporting reasoning.
• Assist customers and internal stakeholders with the application process to gather all relevant information necessary.
• Formalize quotes for potential customers and answer questions from policyholders and internal stakeholders regarding coverage, pricing, and any other potential barriers to binding coverage.
• Review and identify potential new insurance policyholders based on underwriting requirements and external market conditions.
• Evaluate a variety of sources of information to determine total level of risk of each potential customer and price appropriately.
• Ability to quickly understand potential customers current insurance situation and perform coverage comparisons against market competitors.

Job Requirements:

• Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently.
• 1 year Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriting experience
• Extremely well-organized and able to prioritize in a high interruption environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commercial Trucking experience preferred
• Analytical mindset with a love for solving problems
