Citibank, N.A. seeks an Underwriter for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Oversee periodic relationship credit monitoring including Annual Reviews, Quarterly Reviews, Criticized Credit Reviews. Remain current on all aspects of the credit relationship, including exposure, compliance, and potential credit concerns and engage with ICM Early Warning, Collateral Management and Transaction Management team on resolving exceptions. Review credit requests for standard/program loans for compliance with product program and core credit policies. Underwrite and structure loans within established risk acceptance criteria, demonstrating appropriate risk-return characteristics. Notify bankers of any deterioration in operating performance based on financial reporting. Support the Senior Underwriter and Underwriter during internal reviews (FCR, COBRA, IA) and external regulator exam responses. Responsible for portfolio management including providing ongoing reporting and assessment of credit quality and economic performance of the portfolio and managing the financial/credit metrics of the portfolio. Perform financial modeling of various financial scenarios for the client for scenario analysis and stress testing. Analyze client financial statements and perform credit analysis of various credit instruments on client balance sheet. Monitor client’s compliance with terms and conditions associated with previously approved facilities. Identify issues and propose credit classification and risk rating on specific transactions and relationships.

Requirements: Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, or Accounting or related field and 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Securities & Derivatives Intermediate Associate Analyst, or related position within the financial services industry. 3 years of experience must include: Banking management and Portfolio Management; Performing quality assurance and quality control ensuring data integrity; Financial statement analysis; Financial Modeling; Risk assessment in determining risk ratings and classifications; Working with performance reporting; Real Estate deal capital structure; Excel modeling/ VBA skill; and Market/ Industry trends analysis.
