Job Description
Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced UI/UX Researcher you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite client service delivery.


Work You'll Do/Responsibilities


  • Participates in and may sometimes facilitate design strategy, concepting and definition activities including design thinking, service design blueprinting, journey mapping, user flow mapping and other UX methods. Delivers related artifacts.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Supports and collaborates with a variety of UX disciplines across divisions to deliver high quality user experiences and achieve strategic business and UX goals.
  • Some experience in service design and design thinking facilitation preferred.
  • Ability to integrate vendor/third-party applications and propriety, "in house" products into a holistic user experience.
  • Ensures that delivered designs are consistent with appropriate design systems and contributes to the continued enhancement and growth of design systems.
  • Crafts effective and useable design concepts, interaction, and visual design artifacts with high attention to detail and accessibility standards.
  • Competency in front-end development and collaborating closely with development partners is preferred.
  • Excellent collaboration and motivational skills.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to speak on behalf of the user to influence the direction of a product or experience and its associated roadmap.
  • Takes ownership for self-development and stays current with UX skills including UX Design techniques, tools, and best practices.
  • Participates in and may sometimes facilitate design sprints and iterations. Executes design work within a design sprint, in collaboration with Product Management, UX and development partners.
  • Provides constructive design feedback to other designers as part of normal design critique.
  • Experience delivering responsive design solutions for a variety of devices and form factors.
  • In close collaboration with Product Manager and Product Owner, and with input and consideration for other UX team members, leads the management of own design tasks including defining those design tasks, scoping design tasks, setting appropriate targeted milestones and prioritizing design tasks.
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes.
  • Implements and aligns with UX Chapter defined processes and best practices within product team. Educates and is an ambassador for UX processes and value on team.
  • Experience in a wide variety of UX Design methods and tools including user journey mapping, design thinking, information architecture, low-fidelity design, high-fidelity design, design systems, accessibility in design, and prototyping.
  • Seeks out and collaborates closely with other designers in and outside of their product team on design patterns and approach across experiences.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective relationships across team members, product team, and vendor partners.


The Team


Our Digital Foundry & Operations works with the Enterprise Operations group to bring a flexible capability and fluid capacity model to the delivery of small technology projects and enhancements.


Qualifications


Required

  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Proficient in critical thinking, strategic thinking, process improvement, relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative user experience research methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Role is remote
  • Able to research, analyze and consolidate data into trends and share with teams.
  • Able to e stablish and maintain effective relationships across departments, business areas, and vendors.
  • Presents ideas, thoughts, arguments, and information persuasively.
  • Proficient in project management and organizational skills.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Proactively develops self in the field of current and emerging research and technology.
  • 3+ years' experience in User Experience designing or business analysis.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000 to $170,000.
