The Job: As a UI Designer - Core On-Board Interactions , you will design how people interact with Stellantis products, using your design knowledge and passion for problem solving to create desirable in-vehicle interactions that embody clarity, consistency, and understanding . By incorporating user research and collaborating with branding, engineering, and product teams, you will establish User Interface (UI) standards, design hierarchy, ease of use, and consistency across Stellantis products . You will also help bridge consumer electronics and automotive innovation with safe and intuitive interaction patterns, connecting users with the latest automotive features from autonomy, connectivity, and electrification.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
D esign and prototype UI concepts for in-vehicle infotainment
Communicate UI designs to development and stakeholders using mockups and assets
Present and communicate UI designs to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Support user research to evaluate and improve the usability and desirability of in-vehicle digital interactions
Collaborate with branding, engineering, and product teams to establish UI standards, design hierarchy, ease of use, and consistency
Design interface UI concepts that are clear, consistent, and user-friendly, to accommodate the needs and uniqueness of all 14 Stella ntis brands
Apply familiar interaction patterns from consumer electronics to autonomy, connectivity, and electrification applications
Work closely with design system designers and visual designers to develop and review components/screens and ensure consistency and quality across products and applications
Create layout templates that capture user requirements, in corporate best practices, and feasibility
Stay updated on the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices for in-vehicle digital experiences
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in UX/UI design, human-computer interaction (HCI), product design, graphic design or related UX/UI field
Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience as an interaction designer or a similar role , preferably in the automotive or mobility industry
Thorough understanding of user-centered design processes and expertise in interaction design methods, processes, tools, and best practices
P roficiency in interaction design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Confluence, Jira, etc.
Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles, patterns, and standards
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
Portfolio and body of work that demonstrate s digital interaction design skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in UX/UI design, human-computer interaction (HCI), product design, graphic design or related UX/UI field
