Job Description
Posting Date 08/01/2023 Closing Date 08/31/2023 Position Purpose
Assist Gallery Director with tasks related to gallery operations including sorting, labeling, light house-keeping, organizing, communicating with the public as well as Gallery Director/Art & Design students/faculty/staff, occasional spackling/painting/graphic design/gather assets for gallery social media, helping to pack/unpack artwork, lifting/moving up to 25 pounds. climbing ladders, using drills/hammers/rulers/levels.
Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Other - Adobe Creative Suite Experience
No experience necessary.
Preferred experience:
6 months customer service or caretaking, skills in adobe photoshop, illustrator, indesign, photography skills, gallery experience
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance Physical & Environmental Factors: Lifting (weight) - up to 25 pounds Lifting weight Special Working Conditions: Professional appearance
