PHYSICAL OFFICE LOCATION: PEC Headquarters – 201 South Avenue F, Johnson City, TX 78636


$69,600/annual Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.


Position Summary


This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Cooperative’s treasury functions to ensure proper banking functions essential to liquidity needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and clear daily cash transactions in the accounting software
  • Reconcile daily transactions in the Treasury Management System (TMS) software
  • Analyze banking transactions in the TMS software and ensure proper accounting
  • Prepare reconciliations of bank statements against general ledger and clearing accounts
  • Create investment and debt profiles in the TMS software

  • Prepare reconciliations of investment and debt accounts
  • Process wire funding to the bank through the TMS software
  • Review and prove daily bank wires within the bank portal
  • Maintain banking relations to include opening and closing accounts, updating banking services, and monitoring existing bank accounts
  • Complete the voiding checks process as requested by authorizing departments
  • Establish work priorities and activities
  • Assist in coordinating activities with other departments related to district cash registers
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of all bank signature cards
  • Analyze, research, reconcile and correct discrepancies
  • Create ad hoc reports
  • Assist with project assignments and cash reporting
  • Monitor daily cash transactions and investigate unusual activity
  • Review and complete the daily positive pay process
  • Maintain the security of confidential information
  • Stay abreast of advances in technology
  • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

  • Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

  • Skilled in anticipating, identifying, analyzing and resolving conflict and problems

  • Skilled in time management

  • Skilled in managing changing priorities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensing)

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Directly related experience may substitute for education
  • Three years related experience
  • Treasury Management System (TMS) experience preferred
