Job Description

The Treasury Analyst position resides in Coca-Cola’s corporate treasury department. The nature of the position is to support Coke’s various “front office” / trading groups, e.g., cash investments, as well as foreign exchange and other financial risk management groups, as the “back office” or “trading operations” in supporting the workflow / life cycle of the company’s financial trading activity (e.g., foreign currency spot and derivatives, commodity derivatives, debt and interest rate derivatives, commercial paper, stock repurchase, cash investments, etc.). This position will have responsibility for ensuring that all trading activity is in line with internal controls for trade confirmations, reconciliation, collateral management, and cash settlements, among other activities corporate. The nature of the position makes it a good entry point for someone with a few years of relative work experience and/or educational background to begin a career in a corporate treasury environment.

  • Use various third-party systems, including Reval, WSS Suites, Tri-optima, among others, as well as MS Excel or other data analysis software in daily activities.
  • Be familiar with the company’s internal controls, e.g., relevant Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and ensure that all trading activity is in line with such controls for trade confirmations, reconciliation, collateral management, and cash settlements, among other activities.
  • Manage the company’s daily margin / collateral process for certain trading activity with counterparties, e.g., validation of counterparties’ call for margin / collateral on relevant financial derivatives, if applicable, and provide reporting to internal accounting.
  • Conduct basic bank fee analysis for the Company’s North American bank accounts and be responsible for the necessary follow up with the business and our banking partners to understand trends, differences, and resulting billing adjustments.
  • Manage the workflow / life cycle of financial trading activity conducted by the Front Office (e.g., foreign currency spot and derivatives, commodity derivatives, debt and interest rate derivatives, commercial paper, stock repurchase, cash investments, etc.), including timely and accurate confirmation of Treasury transactions with trading counterparties/banks, as well as verification/reconciliation of trade settlements at inception and/or maturity of trades, among other activities. These activities will require strong relationships with Coca-Cola counterparties/banks for any issue resolution.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree

Related Work Experience: 1 - 3 Years’ Experience

  • Effective communication (oral / written)
  • Attention to detail and timely resolution of issues
  • Establish rapport with internal treasury groups as well as external trading partners / banks
  • Comfort with MS Excel and related analytical software tools
  • Understanding of basic financial instruments
