Position Summary:
This position is responsible for all negotiations and contracting of tour elements as related to Collette’s financial and product brand standards.
Job Functions:
- Develop vendor negotiation strategy to achieve set goals.
- Achieve set contracting goals to ensure Collette’s competitive position in the industry.
- Confirm agreements that adhere to Collette’s required terms and conditions.
- Responsible for contracting all components required to develop and deliver the tour successfully. These contracts include hotels, transportation companies, restaurants, attractions, guides, and any component of a tour that has a value.
- Support various departments with contracting issues that may arise.
- Secure all inventory to support Collette’s financial plan.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to review excellence results and make changes to improve.
- Conduct research and make necessary preparations for in-destinations contracting meetings with each supplier and partner.
- Manage and maintain all vendor relations regarding all contracting for tour series. This includes assisting with confirming add dates and/ or custom challenges when required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum Experience 5+ Years.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, travel & tourism or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
- Must be available to travel approximately 120 days per year.
- Strong negotiator - prior contracting skills required with strong attention to detail.
- Efficient and organized Able to sign contracts & secure dates on road so pricing is released.
- Ability to quickly build trust and understanding with the partners and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships. Ability to relate to people in a variety of cultures.
- Strong analytical knowledge and skills. Solid understanding of return on investment.
