Job Description
Overview:

Working under the administrative direction of the Sr. Manager, Materials- perform responsibilities related to the internal and external transport of goods between businesses, customers, and suppliers. In addition, ensure contractual arrangements exist to support import/export of all products in support of global trade.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for coordination and shipment of all items to trade shows, this requires collaboration with marketing, business development, program management.
  • Responsible for coordination and transportation of board members.
  • Maintain compliance with US Governments Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment ( PIEE-WAWF), liaison with DCMA as required for any issues with the system, and maintain proper license requirements.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures for transportation, packing, and receiving
  • Collaborate with multiple business units, finance, and transportation carriers to resolve freight invoice issues, receive buy in for any transportation mode contract changes.
  • Develop and implement freight auditing process to ensure business units are utilizing carriers on the current contracts in place and share results with other business units.
  • Responsible for compliance with D.O.T, IATA regulations (standardize training for the movement of product such as hazardous material training, proper packaging for the safe transit of semi-finished and finished goods)
  • Preparation of Hardware licenses for US Department of State and US Department of Commerce (Imports and Exports)
  • Develop department budget and manage resources to meet company requirements within budgetary constraints. Report fiscal status of department activities to as required.
  • Maintain compliance with foreign owned International Countries sites, (Foreign Countries Government compliance and regulations for their imports and exports of their specific countries, along with new foreign Customer Countries regulations.
  • Responsible for vehicle licensing and registrations.
  • As new logistical situations occur, create solutions which meet the business goals
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of transportation, motor pool, shipping, receiving and packaging.
  • USMCA Application for US, Canada, Mexico free trade.
  • Considering the full transportation and logistical needs for Business units, develop and deploy a strategy to reduce cost and increase service for all Kaman Corporation. Work with the procurement organization to bid needs to 3PL providers and obtain long- term agreements selecting carriers who will team with us in future cost
  • Maintain compliance with government mil spec packaging requirements
  • US Customs compliance for Import (License requirement - duties, taxes, applications
  • Maintain/ standardize international trade" document control
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Preparation of US Customs documents for the export of hardware/technical
  • Create and deploy department metrics, measure performance, and deploy continuous improvement initiatives to ensure alignment to company goals,
  • Ensure transportation personal, maintain an understand U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce Laws and Regulations and the requirements for the proper handling of Imports and Exports. Ensure compliance to International Trade Compliance (Imports/exports) as follows:
    • Maintain/ standardize international trade" document control
    • Preparation of US Customs documents for the export of hardware/technical
    • US Customs compliance for Import (License requirement - duties, taxes, applications
    • Preparation of Hardware licenses for US Department of State and US Department of Commerce (Imports and Exports)
    • USMCA Application for US, Canada, Mexico free trade.
Qualifications:
Education: a four-year degree or equivalent technical trainng required

Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience
