Transportation Controller Jobs

As the Controller, you will be responsible for the financial management of Hines Trucking, Inc. You will report directly to the CFO. You will work closely with the CFO and other key stakeholders to ensure a successful business and strong financial performance.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes
• Oversee the activities of the Accounting Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance
• Prepare and provide financial statements, sales reports, analysis, and other reports on a schedule or as needed to identify trends, results, and process improvements
• Analysis of month end results: P&L and Balance Sheet including variance analysis
• Financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis
• Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits and annual budgets
• Oversees cash flow management, improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
• Serve as a backup for the Payroll Manager when needed.
• Oversee the activities of the Accounts Receivable Department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc; funding service management which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management

Bachelors Degree in Accounting plus 5 years of experience.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
