Job Summary

The Technical Training Project Specialist leads the strategic direction of the company’s training programs by directing, planning, designing, facilitating, executing, and evaluating multiple training programs both internally and externally to meet the training needs of the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identifies training needs and creates new training materials using a variety of training delivery methods (in-classroom, Teams, hands-on, simulation, activities, etc.) and updates course content on a periodic and regular basis with the Instructional Designer.
  • Leads the development and management of the company’s technical training budget.
  • Provides recommendations and implements solutions to training issues.
  • Manages the Learning Management System (LMS) to monitor training plans and employee usage and attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Collaborates with the SMEs and the Instructional Designer to ensure trainings are modern, timely, and of high quality and then, provides feedback to continually enhance training programs and optimize the learning experience.
  • Provides recommendations regarding training related Operating Instructions and Policy Documents.
  • Monitors and assesses training curriculums and courses by observing, auditing, and reviewing survey feedback to measure learning success and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoots and supports audio and visual equipment issues alongside IT.
  • Leads and mentors cross-functional trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to assist with their training facilitation, while ensuring quality and consistency of trainings.
  • Facilitates and delivers curriculum to maximize participant learning.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Twelve (12) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited college or university and 4 years of experience in a training related field or training role.
Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a government contracting environment.
  • Experience in implementing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills.
  • Experience facilitating courses of various sizes both in-person and virtually.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
