Are you looking for an opportunity to assist in the delivery of site-wide training programs that focus on capability building solutions and the effectiveness of the solutions? If so, this is the role for you.
As a Training Specialist you will be responsible for driving the development and deployment of the Primary site’s new Capability, Learning and Development (CL&D) framework, systems, and processes. You will also Ensure capability and competency plans and materials are aligned to Global Learning and Development Transformation, the GSK Capability Framework, and the goals of the business.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Develop and manage the site training program of the GSK Vaccines to ensure compliance, meet development needs of all workforce and support operational excellence initiatives. Manage new employee training curricula and programs to ensure efficient, quality training is provided. Co-ordinate and provide departmental cGMP training. Provide support to the EHS group for deployment and tracking of Safety training. Evaluate trainee proficiency. Training of all site employees and contractors.
Role Responsibility:
  • Collaborate with plant management in assessing training needs and organizational development needs and recommending appropriate training solutions.
  • Partner with managers and supervisors to perform needs analyses, benchmark best practices, and make recommendations.
  • Demonstrated familiarity and compliance with cGMP's, EHS procedures and regulations, facility regulatory guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop site training facilitators through Train the Trainer programs and coach SME’s in facilitation skills.
  • Conduct and coordinate training, including new employee training, annual certifications, qualifications, cGMP and Safety training.
  • Collaborate with multiple Global functions on project start-ups and training development.
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of implemented training. Make modifications where necessary.
  • Develop, manage and implement technical and developmental job/role-based training to support the appropriate level of knowledge, skills and attitudes for all workforce, site contractors and contingent workforce.
  • Evaluate proficiency of employees based on previous knowledge and experience, as well as implemented learnings from GSK training programs.
  • Design and develop training programs based on the ADDIE model and create learning paths for the GSK Vaccines to support performance through operational excellence initiatives, ensuring compliance, and meeting development needs of all workforces.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, or Logistics environment
  • 3+ years' experience in systematic instructional design processes and training program development.
  • 3+ years' work experience in working in a complex organization within a matrixed structure and with multiple lines of authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Ability to raise standards and improve profiles collectively of the team.
  • Highly developed capability in driving change
  • HR Certification (i.e. SHRM)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to training.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Good communication skills and customer focus experience
  • Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of site and enterprise-wide CL&D systems and processes
  • Experience working in change programs that address cultural issues and build organizational capability.
  • Experience of strategic workforce planning and talent management/profiling
  • Experience of reviewing and implementing training systems
  • Exposure of business systems processes or operational roles
  • Sound knowledge of the training cycle and learning needs analysis
