Job Description

TEi Construction Services is looking for an experienced training and development professional to join our growing team in Duncan, SC! The ideal candidate will have construction or related industry experience. Experience with developing training and apprenticeships programs from the ground up is highly preferred!


The Training and Development Manager will partner with business leaders to build and implement effective training and development programs across TEiC, to include field, support, and leadership roles. The Training and Development Manager will play an integral part in providing a consistent learning experience for all TEiC employees, ensuring employees are properly trained and developed as it relates to their role, as well as future growth.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using a variety of methods, including surveys, assessments, and feedback from employees and supervisors.
  • Work with human resources and business leaders to identify training needs and develop plans for individual employees and teams.
  • Implement training programs using a variety of delivery methods, including classroom training, on-the-job training, e-learning, and virtual training.
  • Manage the training team and provide coaching and guidance to ensure that they meet performance expectations.
  • Develop training content, including training manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules.
  • Oversee and execute the setup and maintenance of certified instructors and courses for employee craft training and ensure that all training programs meet regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and manage an annual training budget.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs for all employees both in the office and field.
  • Stay up to date on industry learning trends, communicating new opportunities to leadership.
  • Identify and address training gaps and continuously improve training programs to ensure that they meet the changing needs of the company and its employees.
  • Develop an efficient system to track, maintain, and report training status ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Previous experience developing an apprenticeship program.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training delivery methods.
  • NCCER experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience developing a training and development program from the ground up.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing training programs, preferably in an industrial or construction setting.

The base pay range for this Training & Development Manager position is $111,500 - 165,500 annually.
