Role Summary

Under the direction of the human resource manager, the training coordinator is responsible for the administration and coordination of company training programs, and the maintenance of company training systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assesses training needs and sources appropriate courses, instructors, and training facilities
  • Liaises across departments to coordinate training program delivery
  • Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects MEVS Expectations, MEVS’s Visions/Values through Magna’s Employee Charter.
  • Follow environmental protocol as prescribed by the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Establishes and maintains training policies and procedures to support the development of Team Members in compliance with Company standards, ISO/TS 16949 and HR audits
  • Responsible for tracking the annual training budget and Training Grants activity.
  • Follow and abide by all government, Legal, Magna and MEVS rules and regulations.
  • Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects the MEVS Expectations, MEVS’s Visions/Values through Magna’s Employee Charter.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Assists with development and facilitation of in-house training programs to support company initiatives
  • Follow and abide by all government, Legal and MEVS rules and regulations.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Evaluates course effectiveness, follow up with participants and leaders and modifying course content or course vendor, as required.
  • Drive TWI initiatives and be a resource for TWI trainers
  • Liaises with other divisions for training needs, opportunities, and resources
  • Administers the educational assistance program
  • TWI Train-the-Trainer process
  • Creating and delivering training packages
  • Perform other duties as designated
  • New Hire Orientation, Leadership Orientation
  • Maintains training systems including training records, training calendar
  • Collects and reports on training metrics (training costs, hours of training, budget, etc.)
  • Facilitating of the:
  • Sets up facilities for training and workshops, prepares training materials and training documentation

Additional Information

  • 2 years’ Experience in an Administrative role
  • 2 years’ Experience as a Trainer in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ Experience in World Class Manufacturing
  • Human Resources Management Certification
