Job Description
Summary About the Position: Serve as Training Administrator for the U.S Army Medical Center of Excellence, Directorate of Training, Academic Affairs Training Program Management Division, Army Training Requirement and Resources, Quota Management Branch located at Fort Sam Houston, TX. This is a TERM NTE 4 Years position. This is an Obligated position. Responsibilities Responsible for the input of all computer data relating to the annual course schedules and training seat allocations for approximately 200 plus resident and nonresident courses. Design and compile statistical reports. Collects and inputs all data necessary to create on-line ATRRS course catalog, USA AMEDD Center and School course schedules, and student reservation data. Maintain data for Department of the Army (DA), Navy/Marine Corps, Department of Air Force, US Army Reserve (USAR), National Guard Bureau (NGB), Personnel Command (PERSCOM), the Foreign Training Program, and other Department of Defense (DOD) elements. Prepare documentation and coordinate activities to conduct Structure Manning Decision Review (SMDR). GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes; Input all computer data relating to the annual course schedules and training seat allocations; manage changes to the training program during the execution year; ensure quotas are allocated in appropriate progression sequence and in accordance with established training paths; communicate with individuals at all levels of responsibility in and outside the government, either verbally or in writing to accomplish program objectives; recommend solutions to problems in the work processes involved in the training program. Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education with a major study in Education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Instructional Design, or Training and Development. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Superior Academic Achievement is based on:(1) Class Standing

Experience utilizing Windows XP Professional or Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Scheduler, Access, Excel, PowerPoint; Ensure quotas are allocated in appropriate progression sequence and in accordance with established training paths; Manage changes to the training program during the execution year; maintain operating strength consistent with planning levels to reconcile those requirements to an affordable, acceptable and executable training program; Mange training program objectives, policies, and procedures to analyze ATRRS information to determine problem areas and resolution; Communicate with individuals at all levels of responsibility in and outside the government, either verbally or in writing to accomplish program objectives.
