As our new Trader in Stamford CT, you will join one of our dedicated and skilled teams characterised by proactivity and passion for the industry. Your primary role is day-to-day trading, covering sales, purchase of bunker fuel and logistical planning to optimise profits. Your main focus is identifying and opening new customers. Thus, you will experience a high level of professional creativity and the possibility to think outside the box. You will be in contact with networks all over the world and have an international exposure, giving you the opportunity to travel and visit our customers and other business partners.

Areas of focus

• Develop and maintain a solid and stable portfolio of customers and suppliers.
• Liaising with key accounts on orders and physical supply coordination
• Provide internal support by surveying ports/regions, tracking vessel movements, and coordinating fuel delivery
• Build and nurture personal relations with our suppliers
• Ensure optimal customer satisfaction by building strong personal relations and providing specialist advice in bunker solutions
• Communicate and coordinate with global offices on inquiries, orders and coordination of supply in the Americas

Your professional skills

• Fluent in written/oral English – a 2nd language is an advantage
• Experience from the Bunker, Maritime and/or Shipping industry is an advantage, not a requirement
• You might be a recent graduate from a relevant education - most likely with a commercial focus
• You hold a valid permission to work in the US
• Experience with sales, including canvas and customer handling
