About The Role
We are seeking a talented Test Engineer to join our team and support our manufacturing department in developing testing procedures and performing testing activities as we launch our first product.
Overview Of Responsibilities And Duties

• Prepares protocols for validation or performance testing of new or modified manufacturing equipment, processes, or systems.
• Develops, maintains, or reviews validation and compliance documentation including schematics, protocols, and engineering change notices.
• Develops new test procedures and methods for verifying and validating Hound Labs products as necessary.
• Develops and maintains databases for tracking test results, validation activities, or validated systems.
• Calibrates equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
• Identifies nonconformities of product or process standard and offers recommendations for resolving deviations.
• Ensure accurate documentation; record and archive measurement data pertaining to product parameters and testing results.
• Analyzes data from validation tests to determine whether systems and processes meet required criteria and specifications.
• Establishing validation standards and developing performance testing and quality control measures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Consults with management, assess customer requirements, and studies product characteristics to select validation objectives and standards.
• Collaborates and coordinates with appropriate departments and staff regarding the scheduling or implementation of validation testing.
• Modifies testing methods or revisits test objectives and standards to resolve testing problems.
• Identifies root causes of production problems.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety regulations.
• Extensive experience in equipment calibration, performance testing, and quality control.
• Knowledge of statistical software analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes, parameters, and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as a validation/ test engineer or in a similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures (leak, force, tensile, torque, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software.
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with changing priorities.

POSITION | EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Full-time contract position.
• Days and hours of work may be variable depending on business need.
• Occasional evening work may be required as job responsibilities demand.

Physical Requirements

• Travel to vendors, conferences, company meetings, and other events may be required.
• Exposure to moderate to loud noise and light as typical in a manufacturing environment.
• Indoor position that requires sitting at computer for an extended period.
