We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing tests to identify defects and measure performance in software applications and systems. The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications and systems
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is built into the software development life cycle
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes
  • Automate tests where appropriate to increase efficiency and reduce testing time
  • Participate in code and design reviews to ensure testability and maintainability
  • Execute tests to identify defects and measure performance
  • Collaborate with developers and project teams to identify and prioritize defects and ensure timely resolution
  • Develop and maintain test data and environments
  • Document test results and communicate findings to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Experience using Azure DevOps preferred
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Postman/Newman, Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and processes

Compensation: $85,000 - $125,000

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Ascend highly values our employees and often pays above industry average.
