Job Description
Your role at GEI.


Our Glastonbury, CT office is looking for a dependable person to assist us in organizing and restructuring our current file system. The overall goal is to scan project documents and save them to the appropriate project folders on the server. This is a temporary position at approximately 20 to 40 hours per week for approximately 8 to 12 weeks.


Essential Responsibilities & Duties


  • Scan documents for retention purposes using document scanner and scanning software.
  • Assist with disposal of records and surplus equipment.
  • Ensure scanned copies are complete, file them by project, and save them to the server.
  • Provide assistance to other staff, as needed.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work effectively under demanding timelines and adapt easily to change.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • This is a temporary position expected to last 8-12 weeks with no opportunity for a permanent placement.
  • Comfortable trouble shooting printer/scanner issues.
