We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join the team in Tomahawk, WI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technician Functions
- Products meet all applicable codes as outlined per ASME
- All fabrication welds and weld procedures are correct.
- Continually inspect all products during manufacturing to required specification, blueprint, code and Quality Assurance requirements are met or exceeded including:
- All traceability, paperwork and materials used are correct and match the print.
- Assures all calibration of quality and production measuring tools are kept up to date
- All fabrication welds and weld procedures are correct.

- Fabrication procedures and products are tested and inspected as required
- Company standards for quality are met.
- Assists the ASME Inspector with code inspections when in house.
- Assures all calibration of quality and production measuring tools are kept up to date
- All traceability, paperwork and materials used are correct and match the print.
- Fabrication procedures and products are tested and inspected as required
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect at all times with internal and external customers.
- Company standards for quality are met.
In-Process Inspection:
- Demonstrates self-motivation in completing tasks on time with little supervision during inspections
- Assists Quality Assurance Department in special projects or systems development.
- Assures production personnel are preforming in-process inspection during the fabrication process.
- Assist in corrective action root cause analysis when deemed necessary by Quality Manager.
- Assist in the maintenance of the calibration process, and assist in performing calibration activities on measuring and test equipment in the use of quality and/or production personnel.
- Properly utilize the non-conforming product systems to document defects with the process
- Perform random inspection activities at a frequency determined by Quality Management.
- Identifies weaknesses within the manufacturing process and relays this information to management
- Preform and record in process inspections throughout the company
- Investigate and document possible root causes of in process deficiencies and propose preventative measures to eliminate the deficiencies.
- Operate proper measuring and test equipment in accordance with departmental procedures
Continual Improvement:
- Required to understand the ISO system and the clauses that affect your current position.
- Monitoring and enforcement of Quality Assurance Manual, work instructions, and other relevant procedures.
- Staffing of positions, to be determined by the company.
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or its equivalent.
- Previous Quality Assurance inspection experience in a manufacturing and/or fabrication setting preferred.
- Experience with materials, particularly with stainless steel and carbon
- Thorough knowledge of ASME and other applicable codes and Q.A. standards a plus.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in all facets of quality assurance, including ISO, statistical process control, and measurement and testing (X-ray, RT, PT) techniques a plus.
- Working knowledge of layout equipment: calipers, verniers, micrometers, depth gages, RMS meters, PT equipment, ultra-sonic testing equipment, dial indicators, protractors, mirical points, English and metric tape measures, explosimeters, fillet gages, calculators and computer terminal.
- Welding experience in pressure vessels a plus.
- Operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Also successfully complete any training, safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
- Preforms housekeeping and other related duties that are assigned.
- Preform other duties as required.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Electronic Data Collection Bar Code Readers.
- Knowledge of personal computer and various software packages.
- Basic Welding Techniques.
- Computer software, including electronic mail functions, and shop floor inquiry functions.
- Tape measure, levels, calipers, micrometer, thread gauges, pressure gauges, ultrasonic thickness gauge, mill thickness gauge, pyrometer, and other measure & test equipment.
- Basic hand tools (both manual and power).
