Technical Writer

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid work)

Technical Writer/Training Specialist

· Producing high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience

· Working with internal teams on product and documentation requirements

· Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

· Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements

· Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience

· Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities

· Assist in review of confluence pages, streamline existing pages

oComplete analysis of gaps amongst confluence pages

oReduce duplications of data amongst pages

oUpdate all pages to current state, example : ensure all Avekas references are removed

· Assist in review of Snowflake folder structure and data content

oRemove stale information no longer required

oUpdate existing data to current standards

· Develop Snowflake services page

oReview/Develop service now templates

oDescribes available services

§Include links to training documentation

§Create new training documentation to assist team members

·Host KT session when required to provide training

§Survey L2, L3 teams to determine additional training requirements

· Review servicenow, jira tickets and merge request for completeness and develop training material when required to help improve distribution of information amongst teams

· Create and maintain the information architecture

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent writing and grammatical skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.

· Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.

· Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience

1.Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field required.

2.Three years of related experience required.
