Job Description
Overview:
LMI is seeking a highly skilled Technical Trainer with experience supporting mission-critical software applications for a federal client. The ideal candidate will possess project management skills and understand basic software engineering principles and be able to evaluate and assess complex systems. The candidate will be capable of creating clear and concise training materials that are easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of expertise and dedication. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with a passion for teaching and learning.
Responsibilities:
In addition to creating self-paced guides and online training sessions, the Technical Trainer will also be responsible for:
  • Evaluating effectiveness of training to meet client needs and applications.
  • Maintaining a frequently asked questions posting within the system
  • Creating quick reference guides for power users
  • Continuously evaluating and honing technical instructional delivery skills.
  • Providing tailored one-on-one instruction
  • Manage the training program in accordance with customer business needs.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
  • Strong team player who is always willing to help fellow team members.
  • Bachelor's degree in business analysis, business operations, management information systems, or a related field.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving acumen.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with both internal and external customers.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering training curriculums on technical topics.
  • Excellent communicator capable of delivering technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and empathize and relate to the customer.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented matrix organization environment.
DESIRED:
  • 3+ years of experience in Federal government contracting and/or program management office business processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Project Online.
