Our team is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will play a key role in defining and driving highly complex, cross-functional programs. Our XR Tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products. From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs and beyond, XR Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.As the Technical Program Manager for Data Collection Systems, you will be pivotal in developing and deploying systems to collect & create data for computer vision/machine learning purposes. Also in this role, you will establish processes around data management and working with data operations teams. This is a highly cross functional role that requires collaboration with data customers (computer vision/machine learning teams) to understand data and data systems needs, and drive project goals and requirements. The ideal candidate is someone who is a self-starter, passionate about the power of data and its impact on an organization that is delivering the next cutting-edge technology which will shape the future of AR/VR.


Technical Program Manager, Data Systems Responsibilities:

  • Establish program management framework and process for managing and tracking deliverables to each team efficiently
  • Manage operations of projects including schedule, budget, logistics, and resource/equipment planning
  • Lead cross-functionally to define schedule, requirements, resource plans, integration plans, prioritize initiatives, and proactively identify/address potential setbacks
  • Communicate program status, risks and mitigation plans to AR/VR solutions and executives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and logistical issues
  • Develop scalable and sustainable processes/tools to drive improvements in efficiency, throughput and cost
  • Work with external vendors, assist with vendor budget management, and work with software engineering to deliver SW solutions/features in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with internal teams to understand data and data collection systems needs



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams
  • Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience as a technical program manager or related software engineering work
  • Communication skills and experience working with highly technical teams and communicating to non-technical partners



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on data and/or data collection systems for computer vision or machine learning
