We are currently looking for a motivated Technical Product Specialist with the desire, skills, and experience to become a part of our growing enterprise. The position is for full-time, non-exempt employment.

SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for assisting the product management department in organizing, testing, and controlling an assigned product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development and new product introductions.
• Assists with generating and updating Teguar branded product manuals and quick start guides.
• Acts as liaison between various internal departments and possesses expert product knowledge to explain technical topics and assist colleagues in performing their role as it relates to our product portfolio.
• Assists in market research and identifies and tracks market trends in company's industry.
• Gathers, enters, reviews & maintains product data information in datasheets, CRM, ERP & website.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
• Performs day-to-day procedures of new product introduction processes such as gather, review & file important product files including but not limited to: Operating Systems, drivers, drawings, manuals, certifications, images, ISO9001 procedures etc.
• Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
• Works with Technical department to create, perform, & improve quality test procedures for new & existing products.
• Serves as the technical expert for assigned product lines. This includes professional writing about technical topics for our website and working with Vendors to solve technical problems.
• Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree (A.S.) from a two-year college; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail a must.
• Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter, doesn't require constant instruction to learn, and is interested in continuously expanding their skill set.
• Knowledge of some of the latest technology used in computers such as display & touchscreen technology, wireless, common input/outputs, CPU, Storage, Memory.
• Global purchasing experience a plus.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Eagerness to learn about our products and our markets.
• A true passion for learning about and leveraging new technology.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and customer facing skills.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Prior experience communicating with global Vendors.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
