About the Team
The XR Engine and Runtime team at Pico builds the core technologies to make the immersive XR experience possible. From runtime software to developer SDK and game engines, the team is responsible for creating and optimizing XR technologies vertically across the software stacks, empowering our developers to create the best XR applications. Now we are looking for Tech Lead Unreal Engine Engineer to join our fast-growing team where you'll have intensive growth opportunities.
Responsibilities - What You Will Do:

• Developer ecosystem support, addressing developer pain points
• Drive XR Engine technology direction with XFN teams
• Integrate PICO Technology / SDK into Unreal Engine
• Optimize Unreal Engine for XR and PICO hardware
• Develop innovating XR game engine features
• Work with PICO SDK / Runtime team on developer-facing OpenXR extensions

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of modern graphic pipeline, Familiar with one or more graphics API (Vulkan/OpenGL/DirectX/Metal)
• Experience with low level performance profiling and optimization
• Strong with C++ Programming
• Experience with Tech leading
• 5+ years of Unreal Engine or other game engine development experience
• Good at software system design and game engine architecture, ability to work in big codebase and drive complex software component development

Preferred Qualifications
Solid knowledge and experience in at least 2 of the following areas:

• Familiar with modern mobile CPU/GPU architecture (eg. Qualcomm SOC )
• Experience delivering AAA Games
• Good understanding of Unreal Engine Architecture
• Experience with AR/VR
• Experience with Android development ( SDK / NDK )
• Experience with OpenXR
• Experience with Native Unreal Engine Plugin development
