We are looking for dedicated employees to join our team to help our customers have the best experience possible every time they enter a JD Finish Line store.
Our employees are key to our success.
Analyzes & prepares assigned federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, property tax, business license tax returns and unclaimed property reports for The Company. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do while performing the following main duties:
  • Gathers, analyzes, retains and organizes support documentation for all prepared tax returns.
  • Assist other department members as needed.
  • Researches outstanding tax issues and/or notices and reviews proposed assessments and calculations for accuracy
  • Implement new processes designed to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Scheduling of audits and preparation of information requested during tax audits.
  • Document and update existing processes.
  • Prepare all applicable tax payments via check requests or wire and maintaining confirmation and check numbers and updating the tax calendar
  • Prepares and files all assigned tax returns.
  • Participate in special projects as needed
  • Preparing and analyzing the accounting entries related to any assigned projects
  • Analyzes and imports tax files into applicable tax return software.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience
  • Experience working in a private or public accounting firm tax department preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Google suite equivalent

Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to analyze results at a micro and macro level and present findings. Makes routine decisions following established policies and procedures; collaborates with manager to gain assistance when complex issues arise.
